We have included this short section in order to help you use Hebrew on your browser. We have tested this site using the following methods for Netscape and Explorer under Windows. Explorer Unfortunately, Explorer seems to be the preferred option for Henrew to work correctly. Under the "View" menu on the menu bar, select Encoding-->Hebrew (ISO-Visual). If you do not have a Hebrew font installed on you computer (here any Hebrew font will do), you can download one from Globes. Follow the instructions on the page. Unlike Netscape, running Explorer in the Hebrew mode may make your English go all funny. We've tried to avoid this happening on the Giving Wisely site. This will work fine for display even on an English version of Windows. However you need a Hebrew version of Windows to do data entry. Otherwise you can enter data in Hebrew by cutting and pasting from a Hebrew wordprocessor like Dagesh. Netscape Version 6.1 and the special language version of 4.77 allow display of Hebrew characters. For all other version, you need to download a special Internet Hebrew font. Globes is one location that has such a font. Follow the instructions on the page to download. Once the font is installed in your browser, you will need to switch to the Hebrew font. This is done on the "Preferences" page (find this in the "Edit" menu on the menu bar)and select Appearance-->Fonts. Select the font (Globes) as your font. This will work fine for display. The only way we have thus far found that you can enter data in Hebrew, whether or not you have a Hebrew version of Windows, is to cut and paste from a Hebrew wordprocessor like Dagesh.
